How the Referral Program Works
Referring a business to neKey is easy and rewarding. Follow these simple steps to participate:
Step 1: Identify Your Referral
Think of colleagues, business associates, or professional contacts who could benefit from exceptional Managed IT and Cybersecurity services.
Step 2: Submit Your Referral
Use our simple referral submission form or contact us directly by email or phone. Be sure to include your contact information, your referral details, and any relevant notes.
Step 3: We’ll Reach Out
Our team will connect with your referral, discuss their IT and cybersecurity needs, and explore how neKey can help enhance their business operations.
Step 4: Receive Your Reward
Once your referral becomes a qualified client, you’ll receive your referral reward as a token of our appreciation.
Eligibility and Qualified Referrals:
- Your referral must be a new client, without prior engagements or proposals from neKey within the past 12 months.
- A qualified referral engages with neKey for services that meet our minimum service criteria, detailed in our Master Services Agreement.
Rewards and Benefits
At neKey, we genuinely appreciate your referrals and are committed to demonstrating our gratitude in a meaningful way. When you refer a client who signs on for our Managed Services, you’ll earn rewards and also contribute to a cause close to your heart.
Referral Reward
- You will receive a cash reward equal to one month’s Managed Services invoice amount (excluding subscription-based cloud products such as Microsoft 365, backup services, antivirus, and other similar software products).
- Your reward payment will be issued 90 days after the referred client signs their proposal and commits to our services.
Charitable Contribution
- As part of our commitment to the community, neKey will also make a charitable donation on your behalf.
- This donation will be 10% of the monthly Managed Services invoice, up to a maximum of $100, to a charity of your choice.
Important Clarifications:
- The referral reward amount is based exclusively on Managed Services fees and does not include any billed cloud products such as Microsoft 365 licenses, backup resale, antivirus software, or similar subscriptions.
- There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make, the more referrals you provide, the more you earn and contribute to meaningful community causes.

What qualifies as a successful referral?
A successful referral occurs when the referred client signs a Managed Services agreement with neKey and remains actively engaged with our services for at least 90 days.
When will I receive my referral reward?
Your referral reward will be issued 90 days after the referred client signs their Managed Services proposal and commits to our services.
Is there a limit to how many referrals I can make?
No, there is no limit. You can refer as many businesses as you like and will receive a reward for each qualifying referral.
Can I refer someone even if I’m not a current neKey client?
Yes! Our referral program is open to both existing clients and individuals who are familiar with our services and wish to recommend us to their business contacts.
Are referrals limited to specific business sizes or industries?
We welcome referrals of businesses across all industries and sizes, provided they meet the criteria for Managed Services engagements.
Can I choose any charity for the charitable donation?
You can choose any legitimate 501(c)(3) charitable organization for the donation. We will confirm the charity with you during the reward confirmation process.
Can you provide an example of how the referral reward is calculated?
Certainly! Let’s say you refer a 20-user accounting firm that signs up for Managed Services with neKey. Their sample monthly invoice breakdown could be as follows:
- Total Monthly Invoice: $3,000.00
- Includes:
- Qty 24 of Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses at $22/user/month = $528.00
- Cloud backup and security services = $472.00
- Managed Services portion = $2,000.00
In this case, your referral reward would be $2,000.00, paid 90 days after the client signs and begins service. In addition, we’ll make a $100.00 donation to a charity of your choice (10% of the Managed Services amount, capped at $100), as part of our commitment to giving back to the community.
Only the Managed Services portion of the invoice is used to calculate your referral reward. Product-based subscriptions like Microsoft 365, backup services, and cloud security tools are excluded from the reward calculation.
Terms and Conditions
To ensure fairness and consistency, the following terms apply to neKey’s Referral Program:
Eligibility
- Referrers may be current clients, partners, or individuals familiar with our services.
- Employees of neKey and their immediate family members are eligible to participate.
Qualified Referrals
- A referral is considered qualified when:
- The referred business is not an existing or past neKey client within the last 12 months.
- The business signs a Managed Services agreement with a minimum monthly services value as determined by neKey.
- The referred business remains an active client for at least 90 days after signup and onboarding.
Reward Payout
- The referral reward will be paid 90 days after the referred client signs a Managed Services agreement and begins active service (“go-live date”).
- Reward amount is based solely on the Managed Services portion of the client’s monthly invoice.
- This excludes product resale items such as Microsoft 365 licenses, backup subscriptions, antivirus, endpoint security, and other SaaS-based solutions.
- A charitable donation of 10% of the Managed Services invoice (up to $100) will also be made on the referrer’s behalf, or we can choose a great charity to donate to if you want us to that for you.
Limitations
- Referrals must be submitted before initial contact is made with the referred business.
- In cases where multiple people refer the same business, the first submitted referral (as determined by timestamp) will receive credit.
- Rewards may be subject to applicable tax reporting requirements.
- Existing or previously contacted vendors of neKey, or executive relationships of neKey do not qualify as referral.
Program Changes
- neKey reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Referral Program at any time, without prior notice.
- Changes will not affect rewards already earned under the terms at the time of referral.
